Peter Kapeller was born in Vienna in 1969. After attending secondary school, he began an apprenticeship as a sanitation engineer. However, he didn’t complete this due to his mental crises. Kapeller works in his small social flat in the south of Vienna. He produces his highly detailed ink drawings and etchings over many lonely nights. The black-and-white drawings, which are only occasionally enlivened with sprinkled colours, show a panorama of his emotional engagement with reality.
