Florival Candeias was born in Alvito, Portugal, in 1973. He lives with his parents, simple agricultural workers. Candeias began painting while still a child. He is currently promoted in his artistic work in the “Cercibeja” institute. In his pictures, the artist focuses on his immediate surroundings. His motifs are predominantly humans, animals and landscapes. His depictions of humans, the design of their feet and hands, are impressive. A profound feeling of interconnectedness with nature, comparable to the way that natural religions understand the world, resonates in Candeias’s pictures.
