Artists from across Europe can submit applications for the prestigious prize of the Augustinum Stiftung until 10 October
Munich. The euward, the European award for art in the context of contemporary Art Brut presented by the Augustinum Stiftung, has been announced for the tenth time. Artists from across Europe can apply for the prize until 10 October 2026. All information are now available at www.euward.de.
The Munich-based Augustinum Stiftung has been awarding the euward since 2000. Internationally, it is regarded as the most important distinction for art in the context of Art Brut in all its contemporary forms, and it will be presented for the tenth time in 2027. The aim of the euward is to support artists who, due to individual disadvantages (so-called intellectual, psychological or mental disabilities), have previously remained unseen, and to make their work accessible to the public. In previous editions, up to 600 artists from more than 25 European countries have applied for the euward.
A jury of renowned experts will select three prize winners from the submissions across Europe. They will be honoured in October 2027 with cash prizes and a catalogue of their work with a total value of around € 30,000. The highlight of euward10 will be an exhibition featuring works by the prize winners at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. The exhibition will be on display from 22 October 2027 to 9 January 2028.
