The Jury

The euward jury is international in character with recognised experts from five different countries. They select the three award winners from submissions from throughout Europe.

Christian Berst

Christian Berst is a gallerist, publisher, exhibition organiser and author. In 2005, he founded the gallery ‘Christian Berst’, the only gallery for Art Brut in Paris. It owes its reputation to Berst’s untiring pursuit of contemporary Art Brut that has taken him all over the world. As curator, exhibition manager and loaner of works to museum exhibitions, Berst regularly publishes catalogues and articles. Since 2011, he has edited the publication of an encyclopaedia of Outsider Art.

Dr. Monika Jagfeld

Dr. Monika Jagfeld is Director of Stiftung / Museum schweizerische Naive Kunst und Art Brut (Foundation / Museum of Swiss Naive Art and Art Brut) in St. Gallen.

Daniel J. Schreiber

Daniel J. Schreiber has been director of the Buchheim Collection - Museum of Imagination in Bernried, Germany, since 2013. He studied philosophy and art history in Munich and Hamburg. Previously, Schreiber was curator at the Böttcherstraße Museums in Bremen, the Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden and the Arp Museum, Rolandseck, and artistic director of the Kunsthalle Tübigen. Schreiber has curated numerous exhibitions of Classical Modernism and Contemporary Art.

Edgar Selge

Edgar Selge is an actor and patron of euward7. He lives in Munich.

Eva di Stefano

Eva di Stefano is professor emeritus of phenomenology and history of contemporary art at the University of Palermo. She is particularly interested in the relationship between art and psyche. Di Stefano specialises in the relationship between Gustav Klimt and the Vienna Secession, and is the author of numerous essays and monographs on European art of the 19th and 20th centuries. She now focuses on Surrealism, Art Brut and Arte irregolare (Outsider Art). She founded and directs the Osservatorio Outsider Art as well as the journal with the same name.
