On Thursday 18th November, at 7:00 p.m., the Augustinum Foundation will present the fifth euward - the European Art Award Painting and Graphic Arts by Artists with Mental Disability - at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. euward is the first, and so far the only, distinction of international status to be awarded in this sphere of art. The presentation will also officially launch the exhibition with works by the prize winners and the 22 other nominated artists from eight European countries, which will be on show at the Haus der Kunst until 9th January, 2011.

The three euward5 winners have been announced. On Saturday 12th June in Munich, the international jury chose the winners of the European Art Award for Painting and Graphic Art by Artists with Mental Disability. The award will be presented in 2010 for the fifth time by the Augustinum Foundation and carries a cash value of EUR 19,000.

euward is the european art award for painting and graphic arts by artists with a mental disability. It is the first, and so far the only, prize of international status to be awarded in this sphere of art. euward has been presented by the Augustinum Foundation (Munich) since 2000 and, with the support of the Evangelische Kreditgenossenschaft eG and Sanitas Versicherungs- und Wirtschaftsdienst GmbH, will be presented for the fifth time in 2010. The patron is Emilia Müller, the Bavarian State Minister for European Affairs.

The prizes will be awarded in the Haus der Kunst, Munich, in November 2010, when the entrants' work will be shown at an extensive exhibition.
